About the author<\/h2>\n

I\u2019m Mat\u00edas Trejo De Dios. I live in Salem, Oregon, and have worked for the State of Oregon since 1997. I founded Instituto de Cultura Oregoniana and El Grupo ERG, and coordinated the book Los or\u00edgenes hispanos de Oreg\u00f3n<\/em>, published by Western Oregon University.<\/p>\n

My cultural work has included coordinating Oregon delegations for academic and institutional presentations in Mexico, Peru and Spain. These were collective projects involving the Institute, authors, researchers and host institutions.<\/p>\n

My writing explores language, cultural heritage, belonging and public life. Matiax brings those questions together in an independent personal space.<\/p>\n
